These pogies are like giant mittens that fit over handlebars to allow the rider to operate shifting and braking using thin gloves or bare hands. Currently in red or black nylon with black fleece liner and reflective cuffs. It reaches the elbows of an average 8-year-old. There are elastic shock cord drawstrings at the bar and arm cuffs.
Each pair includes a pair of bar-end plugs that clamp the pogies to the bars.
These ones are shorter on the bar and narrower arm than the standard size, they are great for kids or for folks with average forearms who won’t be using a puffy jacket. They are shorter than I typically make so will not be as warm as I recommend for expedition use by adults.
The outers are water resistant PU coated 420D Nylon, the inners are fleece. My son has cold hands and finds them sufficient with thin gloves as low as -15ºC.
