Super versatile drop bar pogies for almost all drop bars.
Dr. Ops has the remedy for cold hands on your road, ‘cross, gravel, touring, or other drop bar bike.
Dr. Ops are the result of 3 years of prototypes. They are the most versatile bar mitts for drop bars on the market. Testers reported they were super warm compared to competitors, and everyone liked the usability of the drops, tops and hoods of the bars. No other Pogie on the market makes so few compromises.
Since they are easy to get in and out of, Dr. Ops pogies are suitable for riding in the city where you might need to signal, wave to friends, or flip the bird. They are great for highways, gravel, or singletrack too. They feature solid warmth and ability to move your hands around.
Like all of my pogies, they have generous wrist and forearm coverage to keep the blood warm on route to your fingertips.
Dr. Ops bar mitts are made from 600D Polyester shell, and heavy fleece liner because they are intended for the all-day comfort that comes from a wind blocking shell and an insulating layer.
So far these fit all the bars I have tried, including some of the popular wide mountain-style drop bars. They fit with most shifter styles including the older Shimano with the cable to the inside of the lever. They leave the end of the bar free, and work with bar-end shifters. The Dr. Ops pogies have a simple zipper and double-elastic strap for attaching them. Auxiliary brake levers on tops of bars may not fit and are very probably not accessible from inside the pogies.
For flat bars, riser bars, Jones bars, and other similar bars, get the standard Winter bicycle pogies.
These drop bar pogies are intended for keeping your hands warm on a bike with drop bars, in winter. They are not affiliated in any way with any comic book or movie franchise villain. Though there is a doctor, who rides drop bar bikes, and and his kid ride with these pogies, Dr. Ops is not based on any person in real life or fiction.
